drone research and development
so yesterday I was at multirotorcraft helping build drones and I came across a small DJI f450, this drone is about the perfect size and weight to fit in a rucksack and is very modular. So this is why it's in the journal, this small drone can be fitted with a flight controller that tracks the users phone and so would be able to follow the user say down a mountain, so me and the guys at multirotor are going to be working on this and keep all you guys posted
Book plans
so today I've been doing quite a bit of thinking and work on the research side of things, mainly setting up a kickstarter page and putting surveys out. So I have finally made a decision on what I'm doing, the book it's self will be a full photo book in an Ebook format with accompanying videos and access to future content, there will be a limited run of 50 physical hard back books as well in the campaign

Of helmets and goggles
So today I went browsing the local Ski shops for a skid lid and pair of goggles.
I have been up to this point looking at Oakley goggles but couldn't find any suitable helmets to match so I've had to draw up a plan B. What's plan B you may ask well the B stands for Burton......
I know, I know, I've already bought Billabong kit and such but the A-non [a company under Burton] goggles and helmets fit me like a glove, I must say when I tried them on at www.rxsport.co.uk today they felt nice and the magnetic lenses of the M2 goggles felt just right for full days out on the slopes.
So yeah I'm definitely going with M2 goggles and possibly the Raider helmet or Blits helmet.

A game of drones
As a photographer and videographer I’m always looking for
the next thing to make my work look more…. well epic and so we come to the topic
of drones.
I’m rather lucky as I already have a small phantom 2 drone,
not so lucky that I don’t have a camera or gimbal for it. The phantom 2 is a
nice little drone for using a gopro with, but is it good enough to use in the
mountains. Or will I cave to pressure and buy a phantom 4 or maybe even a 3 pro.

Survey
as my day one entry said I'm planning to make a book at the end of all this which will include a photo album and DVD so I made a survey and here it is https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/LZPTXBS
Day 1
So here I am writing a journal with the plan to write a book
at the end of all this.
So first off I’d like to say thank you to anyone reading
this, it means a lot to me and I’ve put a lot of heart and thought into this project.
This book is a collection of my thoughts and experiences
from start to finish, from buying my first set of trousers through to finally
hitting the powder in the Alps. So with that, yesterday I bought my first pieces
of gear as they were on sale and I have to say the Billabong Legend jacket and
Cab trousers I bought are really nice quality and relatively cheap, they fit me
perfectly even though the top is a medium and the trousers are a small.
